Washer Leak in Local Church

9/19/2022 (Permalink)

We recently received a call from a church representative where a washer had leaked and the tenant requested for same day emergency service to prevent further damage. We responded quickly and that same day our team arrived to inspect, extract the water and to set up the necessary equipment. The water managed to reach the laundry room, hallway, a bedroom closet, and the master bedroom. Their hardwood floor was already showing signs of buckling when the tenant had first called. Our team managed to save parts of the affected area by drying out what we could but unfortunately a sizable portion of the section was not salvageable and had to be removed. We began the demolition process and our crew set up a containment around the affected area to prevent the damage from spreading.  When we began to demo our technicians and project manager noticed that there was about 10 square feet of mold on the subfloor and sill plates that was caused by the water leakage. Our team adapted to the situation and the next day our crew began the mold remediation and were able to finish that very same day.  This was important because mold can spread rapidly especially when there has been water damage. Although we weren't able to save all of the material we were still able to finish the restoration process in less than a week. Leaving our client satisfied.
