Where's the Rain?

In Southern California, it sometimes always feels like a dry season. Thankfully, the beginning quarter of 2021 has been fairly stormy and rainy. The California Poppy and Yellow Mustard Seed flowers are in bloom across the San Gabriel Valley. Making commutes and Los Angeles traffic slightly less blah with the gorgeous wildflower bloom!

Climate Change:

According to researchers, California’s rainy season has started 27 days later than it did in the 1960s. Decades ago, our rainy season began in November, and since California’s fire season is at a yearly high in October, November rains were a huge help in regulating that. Now, our rainy season begins in late December and is concentrated in January and February. A shorter, but sharper rainy season.
